First All-Star Grand Slam

Today's baseball trivia question:  Who was the first player to hit a grand slam in the all-star game?

Hint to today's trivia question---It was done in 1983 by an American leaguer.

Answer to the previous baseball trivia question---  The umpire behind the plate was Bill Haller and the catcher squatting in front of him was his brother Tom Haller of the Detroit Tigers.  The catcher Haller went 1-for-4 that day, July 14, 1972, as his Tigers lost 1-0 to the Royals.
